We all have skeletons which we prefer to keep in the closet. We all have views which others may find unacceptable. We all know that different cultures have different traditions, yet some Iranians find it hard to accept that parts of our culture do shock western cultures. I don't know how many readers remember the film Soldier Blue - I believe it was one of the first films made which rathre than glorify the western settlers, it showed them to be savage in heart, and undignified in mind. But we never heard the US senate or congress call for the banning of this film, we never heard it be criticized for portraying western settlers as barbaric, other than for some native Amercians who said that it was actually worse. The reaction of the US public at the time of its showing was to start a stream of self assessment. Many similar films followed, ending in early 90's with Last of the Mohicans, and Dances With Wolves being the latest offerings. When we call out in an effort to stop a publication, or film, we only highlight our own weakness - the inability to accept criticism, and the lack of humility which allows each individual to accept criticism. I am not concerned with the factual content of the film, as it is immaterial. What is important is that we should have the self confidence to laigh off the scenes which are "Holly Wood Madness", and where possible receive the film as a good example of how other cultures view some of our cutoms. It may not please us to find westerners consider some of out traditions as barbaric, but at least we should be aware of their views, and maybe show more tact when conducting our traditional customs in Public. My point if this, freedom of speech allows every one to make known their opinion. So when Iranians call for the film to be banned, it is they who are attempting to violate the rights of the film maker. Any way f the film is so definately wrong in its portrayal, let's have a film made in Iran which shows present day Iran in all its glory.

The turks are not only descent from huns. The oldest turks which is accepted by the most historians who know what they are talking about dates the proto-turkic people to 500 bc , the Hsuing nu , Xiong nu and son on, but the schythians which have two theoris , the indo-european and altaic. the archelocal facts gives the altaic( or proto turkic ) theori the most thinkable of the scythians and their relatives which lived in central asia from 1000 bc. The fat that many historians have agreed on that from manchuria in the east throuhgt mongolia , eastern china( uygurstan) , central asia, in the south to the elburz mountains to the khazar steppe( ukraian steppe) lived peoples with one basic languege, as todays turkic or more correctly ( the old altaic langague), next time read history more careful , the facts that I ahve given are written in a very very short text, artical , regards
